Job Description
1. Engineering and execution of the Distributed Control System (DCS) and other Control Systems for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants
2. Cable engineering for Energy from Waste (EfW) and Renewable Gas (RG) plants
3. Preparation of the technical specifications for components and systems, technical evaluation of bids and joint selection of suppliers
4. Preparation and review of control system hardware design documents (cabinet layout drawings, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, termination drawings)
5. Participation in Factory Acceptance Testing of different control systems
6. Responsible for completeness of the CAE lists related to his products (signal exchange lists, I/O lists, etc.)
7. Support of tendering and commissioning team
8. Assist Manager in a development and implementation of a department strategy
9. Support Manager in a development and documentation of efficient work processes, lesson learned and implementation of improvement practices in future projects
10. Support other Automation Engineers in resolving DCS related technical matters
11. Coaching and Training of entry level members and other Automation Engineers
12. Reviewing technical specifications and RfQ documentation to ensure accuracy, conformance with codes and client specifications
13. Participation in project risk assessments (HAZOP, SIL assessment, Cyber Security Risk Assessment)
14. Lead design review meetings with customers and suppliers
15. Willingness to travel approx. 10%
Qualifications
16. Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering of Control Systems, preferably in power plant applications
17. Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Automation is mandatory
18. Good knowledge of various bus communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, ModbusTCP, IEC104, OPC UA)
19. Good knowledge of field instrumentation and measuring principles for pressure, temperature, level and flow
20. TUV Rheinland Functional Safety Engineer certificate is an advantage
21. ISA Cyber Security Engineer certificate is an advantage
22. Commissioning and operational experience is an advantage
23. Experience with design of instruments and cables in ATEX environment is an advantage
24. Fluency in English. German and other languages are an advantage
25. Good MS Office user knowledge
26. Knowledge of CAE Tools (Comos, etc)
27. High degree of understanding of quality assurance
28. Knowledge of Electrical engineering tools (EPLAN)
29. Project Management knowledge is an advantage
