MICROSOFT SYSTEM ENGINEER
To support our growing business, activities and needs, we are recruiting a talented System Engineer to join our brand-new Global Operations Center located in Turin, Italy. The System Engineer will actively contribute to maintain, operate, and monitor the existing corporate infrastructure as well as to its future design and implementation.
ROLE AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Some of the responsibilities will include:
* Managing and monitoring of existing systems and infrastructure
* Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
* Ensuring the integrity and high availability of our infrastructure (Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity)
* Performing on-site and remote technical support
* Implementing and supporting disaster recovery / business continuity solutions
* Maintaining system documentation to include system reviews and recommendations
* Identifying potential issues and proactively proposing solutions and improvements
* Securing systems by establishing and enforcing policies and defining and monitoring access
* Troubleshooting and fault finding if issues arise
* Fulfilling ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Company
* Contributing to the definition and implementation of project best practices and quality processes
* Participation in the on-call
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Required skills and experience:
* Extensive experience within information security/technology sector
* Extensive experience working in a Microsoft Systems Engineering role (Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 & 2019, Windows 7 & 10)
* Scripting knowledge for automation (Powershell and/or Rundeck)
* Experience with Active Directory design, architecture, and management for enterprise-scale deployments
* Knowledge of enterprise grade PKI and CA hierarchy
* Expertise in deploying and maintaining business critical applications and solutions
* Working knowledge of DNS and DHCP deployments and best practice
* Proven experience in incident management, service request management and troubleshooting using root cause analysis (RCA) techniques
* Experience with Citrix troubleshooting and RDP
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure
* Outstanding English languages written and verbal communication skills
* Outstanding customer service skills
Desirable skills and experience:
* Experience working in a Service Desk / NOC / SOC environment
* Experience of using ticketing systems and use of monitoring and management tools. Experience in creating and managing Windows Clusters with load balancer
* Experience with cloud-based solutions around compute, storage, and network (Azure)
* Experience with GIT, Azure DevOps, Agile methodology and working within CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with SSO services
* Experience with LDAP, SAML, Radius and Kerberos
* Extensive Experience with Active Directory design, architecture, and management for enterprise-scale deployments and enterprise grade PKI and CA hierarchy
* UEM/Configuration management design and deployment experience (SCCM, Intune, Ansible or VMware Workspace ONE...)
* Experience with Linux based infrastructure (Suse, Red Hat)
* Experience with Cloud Backup and Replication solutions (ASR)
* MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator) or MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) or equivalent certifications
