Job Description
Exciting Inside Sales / Customer Service Role - Engage with People, Use Your Scientific Expertise!
Do you have a background in Life Sciences and want to elevate or start a career in sales? LGC offers an exciting inside sales opportunity to join our team, supporting the sales and distribution of our ATCC portfolio across Italy and other EMEA regions if needed. Your primary goal will be to drive sales growth by engaging with customers via phone or email and supporting our Core ATCC Team and Field Sales Personnel (FAS). This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work 50% from our office in Milan and 50% from home.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage inquiries, produce accurate quotations, and follow up to improve conversions
2. Collaborate with sales teams to tailor responses for customer needs, especially for Italian tenders
3. Provide first-level technical support and escalate issues when necessary
4. Implement local strategies aligned with the EMEA sales and marketing plan
5. Maintain service levels, act as a liaison between Order Entry and Customer Service, and use ERP systems and Salesforce to support sales
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
6. Educational Background : Degree in Life Sciences or a related field to Cell Biology
7. Experience : Previous experience in sales or customer service, demonstrating a proactive approach to sales activities within a scientific environment
8. Language Skills : Proficiency in Italian and English and communication abilities
9. Strong organizational skills : Prioritization capabilities aligned with commercial activities
10. Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
