Job Description:
Responsibilities
1. Utilize tools to monitor system OS and application software versions and the security vulnerability posture of IT systems.
2. Apply appropriate software and system patches and system configurations to ensure IT systems are kept up-to-date.
3. Coordinate with IT teams to prioritize, schedule and implement updates without disrupting business operations.
4. Document patching schedules, compliance reports, and vulnerability assessments.
5. Provide ongoing insight to management on the progress of maintaining system and application currency and reduction of system vulnerabilities.
6. Provide support and guidance on best practices for system security and maintenance.
7. Act as a service owner across IT for system updates and vulnerability management lifecycle.
8. Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends in vulnerability management.
Education, Skills, and Attributes
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. Familiarity with vulnerability management, patch management and IT security best practices.
3. Experience with vulnerability scanning software and tools such as Tenable and BitSight or equivalent is preferred.
4. Experience with updating or patching common operating systems, like Linux and Windows.
5. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Fluent in English Language is required for the job.
9. Remote job with travels to do to TOPCON locations when needed.
