As part of our team, you can look forward to interesting work in an expanding company, where you can bring in your ideas and make a difference.We are looking for a Logistics Engineer to join our Italian Plant, reporting directly to the Inbound Logistics & Material Handling Manager working alongside with the different company departments.The figure is responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing logistics and supply chain operations to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality. This includes defining and implementing new key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimizing activity timelines.Key Responsibilities:Design and optimize logistics and material flow to ensure seamless operations in the production area.Process Analysis and Improvement:Evaluate existing logistics and supply chain processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks. Create workflows and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize logistics operations.Lead projects aimed at enhancing logistics processes within the Italian plant, with a focus on boosting efficiency, reducing costs, and increasing capacity.Map the current state and design the future state of existing value streams in the factory through the application of World Class Manufacturing tools such as:Value Stream Map, Spaghetti Chart, Material Classification, PFEP (plan for each part), 5S and 5T, Pull System.Participate in the development of technical solutions to improve logistic flows, Border of Line, Layout, Minimum Material Handling.Cost Optimization:Identify opportunities to reduce logistics and transportation costs while maintaining service quality. Analyze carrier contracts, transportation modes, and warehousing strategies to minimize expenses.Define stock placement strategies in different areas and monitor proper allocation.Critically evaluate the processes, procedures, and physical and IT tools under his/her responsibility to continuously improve them (continuous improvement), aligning them with new business needs in coordination with the Process Engineering function.Project Management:Lead and oversee logistics improvement projects from initiation through to successful completion. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and procurement to ensure successful project execution.Qualifications:Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.Soft Skills:Experience:4+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or engineeringResults and teamwork oriented.
