Quality Manager (Air Cargo)

Since the end of 2022, we have started developing a new MSC Air Cargo solution in response to customer demand and as a complementary service to its container shipping support the growth of MSC Air Cargo activities, we are looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Quality Manager who will be responsible for leading the quality assurance and control department of the organization. This experienced role oversees the Quality Management System (QMS), industry certifications such as IATA CEIV, the claims process and is responsible for the integrity of all (quality-related) documentation.
The position will be located in Geneva (Switzerland) or Malpensa (Italy) and will report to the Head of Product, Quality and Transformation.
As a Quality Manager, you will oversee:
1. QMS Leadership : Oversee the organization's Quality Management System to ensure it is current, effective, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
2. Quality Assurance Oversight : Develop and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures, ensuring that all products and services consistently meet established standards of quality.
3. Quality Control Management : Lead the quality control team to identify and resolve defects in products or services before they reach the customer, maintaining high customer satisfaction.
4. CAPA Management: Oversee thorough investigations for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), approve the CAPA report containing non-conformances.
5. Claims Management : Oversee the processing and resolution of customer claims related to quality, ensuring responsive and efficient handling of issues.
6. Documentation Oversight: Ensure the proper management and updating of all quality-related documentation, including manuals, guidelines, and records.
7. Audit Program Management : Direct the planning and execution of internal and external audits, verifying the effectiveness of quality processes and implementing necessary corrective actions.
8. Reporting and Communication : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of quality metrics, audits, claims, and CAPA activities, reporting findings and trends to top management and relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
9. Extensive experience (10+ years) in a quality leadership role within the air cargo industry.
10. In-depth knowledge of quality systems, standards (such as ISO9001), and quality related aspects.
11. Proven track record of successfully managing a comprehensive quality program, including quality assurance, quality control, and CAPA processes.
12. Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a high-performing team.
13. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
14. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
15. English mandatory, French and/or Italian a plus.
16. You are dynamic, proactive, and comfortable working in an ever-changing environment of a startup business.
