ROVI’s portfolio of products in the research and development phase is numerous. Significant R&D milestones in recent years include the development of heparin-based products with the launch of enoxaparin biosimilar in 2018 in Italy, and the development of new controlled drug release systems based on the patented ISM (in-situ microimplants) technology.
The first product developed using this technology is Risperidone ISM, which guarantees prolonged release of risperidone, a second-generation antipsychotic medicine for the treatment of schizophrenia. This product has already been launched by ROVI in Germany, Spain, UK, Portugal, Italy, and Austria, with further launches planned in 2024 in other EU countries.
ROVI is looking for a highly motivated, hard-working, and customer-focused individual to be part of a new team of specialists responsible for promoting this product in Italy. This exciting position is essential for the future growth of the company.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
REGION: CALABRIA
An opportunity for a Sales Representative/Product Specialist to join a solid and rapidly growing company in Italy. The role is ideal for an ambitious individual with a commercial background, as well as knowledge of antipsychotics. The candidate will be responsible for driving brand performance by displaying a deep understanding of the market context and different stakeholders to turn facts and data into actionable insights.
All of the above will be done in line with the global and local strategy as well as the country strategic priorities.
The Sales Representative’s main responsibilities will include:
1. Devise and implement customer-specific pre and post-call selling approaches that evaluate and address practitioners’ perspectives and institutional philosophies within compliance guidelines.
2. Consistently use approved clinical studies and marketing aids to support the case for the value proposition when selling. Position and adapt the message to meet practitioners’, institutions’, and company’s objectives.
3. Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan that includes opportunities and challenges in the local market, key strategies and tactics to drive the business, maximization of available resources, and partnership with key business partners and stakeholders to drive sales in the local geography.
4. Develop a territory coverage plan that maximizes selling time with all account professionals. Adjust the schedule to increase access to key stakeholders, including coverage of all shifts. Institute strategies to increase access to all key stakeholders.
5. Maximize and customize the value proposition and influence contract implementation processes within assigned institutions. Hold hospital stakeholders accountable to the institutional contract.
6. Develop and apply knowledge of payer access and affordability landscape in the territory regarding the company’s products.
7. Devise and institute an integrated business plan that includes clear strategies and tactics to target key accounts utilizing all available resources, while aligning the plan with district, region, and company goals.
8. Analyze business analytics to recognize territory opportunities, strengths, and trends, and monitor the effectiveness of the business plan. Adjust the plan to minimize the impact of competition and maximize sales opportunities.
9. Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
10. Provide input to sales forecasts for business planning.
11. Relay relevant market information to management.
IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
* University degree is essential.
* Pharmacy, Medical or natural science qualification is essential.
Experience & Competences:
* 3+ years in the Pharmaceutical Industry.
* At least 3 years’ experience as a Sales Representative in pharmaceuticals working with RX brands.
* At least 1 year of experience detailing/promoting products to hospital psychiatrists.
* Proficiency in Italian and English.
* Good understanding of the mental illness field.
* Good understanding of the pharmaceutical antipsychotics sector.
* A proven history of delivering sales results and exceeding targets.
* Quantifiable experience & understanding of mental health stakeholders and policies.
* Experience in Key Opinion Leader interaction/influence.
Knowledge & Skills:
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to interact with and educate healthcare professionals.
* Capable of working on own initiative.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Excellent standard of English (written and spoken).
