Regional Sales Manager - Italy
We are a biotechnology and microalgae specialist company, headquartered in Barcelona, Spain, working with skincare brands to create unique formulations using high performance active ingredients.
As a growing organisation, we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager based in Italy to develop the territory via direct customer acquisition and distributor management within the Skin Care Active Ingredients market.
Responsibilities
* You will focus primarily on new business development within the Italy/Southeast Europe region, approaching contract manufacturing clients and brands to drive growth in line with business objectives.
* Once new accounts have been developed and become active customers, you will be required to manage the relationships and develop these customers into key accounts.
* You are expected to creatively present technical products to new customers with the support of the internal technical and marketing teams.
* You will be actively engaging with customers and supporting them with product requirements, queries and offering solutions to technical issues.
* Sales presentations and new product marketing activities at customer sites and trade fairs will be part of your responsibilities.
* You are expected to track and report on your sales activities in a structured and timely manner and collaborate well with your global commercial team members to achieve common goals.
* You will be required to understand category landscapes and market trends and report on forces that shift strategic direction and decision making.
Requirements
* Ability to utilise your international distributor, contract manufacturer and brand network to achieve the ambitious targets and growth plans set by the business.
* Ability to operate independently in the role will be key to the success of this position.
* You must be based in Italy but be flexible to spend significant time on site in Barcelona in the initial period.
* Longer term, the willingness to travel to customer sites when necessary is required.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as are fluent English and Italian language skills.
