For our De Nora Water Technology Business Unit, leading provider of equipment, systems, disinfection, and filtration solutions for water and wastewater treatment, Milan office, we are looking for a Project Cost Controller, who plays a crucial role in ensuring that engineering projects are completed within established cost limits and that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively.
The role ensures the provision of all Cost Control functionality on the project including budget set up, updates and monitoring, change management, variation estimating, cost reporting, risk contingency and management as well as all forecasting activities.
Main Objectives of the Role:
From a controlling perspective follow the entire life of the entity projects from the quotation phase to the project set-up in SAP (Definition Revenue Recognition Scheme, Project builder and Sales Order, Billing Plan), to the execution, up to the closure of the warranty period.
Support month-end processes: closing and forecasting.
Core Activities:
* Lead Monthly Project Review: together with the Execution Team look over:
* the actual progress of project compared with previous forecast and expectations,
* the evolution of contract value (VO),
* the evolution of estimated costs at completion (Increases or savings on the original Costs Budget),
* any other risks and opportunities (Specific Warranty Costs, LDs, etc).
* Follow-up the issuance of project invoices according to the Billing Plan,
* Follow-up project cash collection and the respect of month project cash-in target.
Other activities:
* Project Margin Evolution Analysis,
* Calculate Agent’s commission and validate commissions payments,
* Calculate Project Warranty Provision,
* Calculate any other Project Specific Risk,
* Projects Balance Sheet Review.
Requirements:
* Master Degree in Economics or Management Engineering,
* At least 5 years as Project Cost Controlling / Controlling,
* Deep knowledge of:
* MS Office (Project included),
* Outlook,
* Knowledge of SAP Project System,
* ISO 9001-2015 quality system. Familiarity with EHS regulations,
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
