For our client close to Pavia, part of an International Company, specialized in wastewater treatment equipment for civil and industrial applications, we are looking for a
Finance & Administration Manager
The candidate, reporting functionally to the Group CFO, will have the following responsibilities :
* Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger
* Responsible for month end closing process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and control validations (for example: revenue recognition)
* Full ownership for all general ledger accounts, to include maintaining an understanding of monthly account transaction flows and balances, verifying discrepancies, and resolving account issues
* Prepare and review monthly financial statements in accordance with company policies and timetables to ensure accuracy and integrity. Analyze and explain variances related to budget and forecast
* Lead the process for preparation and review of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
* Manage fixed assets, including responsibility for additions, dispositions, and depreciation
* Oversee the capital expenditure process, including coordination of funding requests and budget tracking
* Coordinate data gathering required for Y/E financial audit with external auditors
* Coordinate data gathering required for Y/E tax filings with external tax preparation partners
* Partner and build relationships with Company leadership team to ensure accurate forecasting, budget management, and financial reporting & analysis
* Ensure effective management of cash and working capital
* Ensure compliance with relevant local tax, accounting, auditing, and external reporting requirements
* Provide analysis and strategic insight to MWT management on a proactive and as-requested basis
* Ensure seamless communication throughout the business and adherence to critical deadlines
Skills and Experience:
* 5-10 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles, including 2-3+ years in a leadership role
* Understanding of Italian GAAP and relevant financial accounting regulations
* Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
* Proven ability to set priorities and work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
* High level of integrity/transparency, with ability to work through issues as they arise and proactively offer solutions
* Strong attention to detail, data analysis, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
* Strong English skills including the ability to communicate analyses and recommendations to CFO in the US
* Advanced Excel worksheet skills
* Experience working in private equity-backed company preferred but not required
