Microwave Photonic Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and integrate advanced microwave-photonic systems for high-performance applications.
2. Model, simulate, and tape-out photonic devices for cutting-edge technologies.
3. Create and test prototypes using photonic components (waveguides, modulators, lasers, etc.) to ensure top-tier performance.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to merge photonics with microwave and RF systems.
5. Work on innovative projects like free-space optics, Radio over Fiber, and optical beamforming.
6. Optimize designs to maximize performance, stability, and minimize losses.
7. Contribute to technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Photonics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
2. Expertise in microwave engineering, optical communication, and photonics integration.
3. Experience with simulation tools (e.g., Zemax, COMSOL, VPI Photonics).
4. Knowledge of RF design principles and high-frequency circuits.
5. Practical experience with testing Photonics Integrated Circuits (PICs) using lab instruments.
