The purpose of this role is to support the Milano Cortina 2026 Transport team in defining the temporary mobility plans to be adopted during the event.
For large-scale events such as the Olympic Games, it is necessary to implement extraordinary traffic management measures designed to meet the operational needs of the event and ensure the successful delivery of transport services for accredited individuals (athletes, staff, journalists, etc.) and spectators. However, these measures must also consider the needs of the local area, aiming to minimize disruptions for the host city.
The Host City Mobility Specialist Traffic will contribute to the planning, development, and operational management of the event mobility plans. This role will work both internally with the Transport team and other functional areas of MICO26, and externally with local authorities (Prefectures, Provinces, Municipalities) and road infrastructure operators.
* Support and coordinate the implementation of temporary traffic measures defined with local authorities (Regions, Provinces, Prefectures, etc.);
* Support and coordinate the implementation of a car pass system for residents, businesses, etc., to ensure operational continuity in the area;
* Draft operational plans (placement of traffic filters, activation time windows, required resources, etc.) in coordination with local stakeholders;
* Support in identifying the best solutions for managing spectator drop-off/pick-up operations and pedestrian connections with competition venues;
* Implement and/or support technical teams in analyzing traffic flows related to the event;
* Coordinate the delivery of the project during Games time.
