We are looking for a Buyer responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and procuring materials, equipment, services, and subcontracts to meet project needs while ensuring quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order or subcontract issuance, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and regulations (HSE, quality, security).
* Identify and pre-qualify suppliers, ensuring alignment with company procurement procedures.
* Issue RFQs to at least three vendors per item, follow up on bids, and conduct commercial bid evaluations.
* Coordinate with technical departments for bid evaluation and technical alignment.
* Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers in accordance with company policies and ethics guidelines.
* Prepare and submit bid award recommendations for approval.
* Issue and manage purchase orders, subcontracts, and agreements.
* Maintain supplier relationships and support project teams in resolving procurement-related issues.
* Support expediting teams and manage any amendments to purchase orders or subcontracts, when necessary.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Buyer in construction companies, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry, EPC contractors, or Power Generation industries.
* Strong knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of the procurement process from previous work experience.
* Experience in purchasing services and subcontracts is preferred.
* Knowledge of JDE or SAP ERP systems is preferable.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
The position is based at our headquarters in Parma.
