The Chlor Alkali (CA) EMEIA Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding business market presence in the EMEIA Region, Chlor Alkali business. This role involves managing a team of sales specialist in Italy and Germany and developing, along with the EMEIA Regional Sales Director, strategic sales plans, building and keeping strong relationships with key CA customers and stakeholders in these regions.
Main responsibilities will be focused on:
Strategic plans: participate to define the Regional Sales strategy, targets and budget, in strict coordination with the Regional Sales Director
Sales Growth: achieving and exceeding CA sales targets and revenue goals within the designated regions
Market Share Expansion: increasing market share by identifying and capturing new CA business opportunities
Customer Retention: maintaining strong relationships with existing CA customers and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
Customer Acquisition: successfully acquiring new CA customers and expanding the customer baseline. Participate to trade shows and manage networking activities with customers as required for sustaining and developing the necessary business relationships
Sales Pipeline Management: managing the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a steady flow of business opportunities. Define and assign action plans with the Sales Specialists by setting objectives and customer service standards. Coordinate and control their implementation. Identify the opportunity and lead personally, when required, specific sales projects
Collaboration: working closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Product Development Managers and Operations
Market Analysis: conducting regular market analysis to stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Identify market trends and new customer opportunities. Monitor competitors and their market presence. Execute competitive analyses, identify threats and put in place contingent strategies to protect market share
Reporting: preparing and presenting sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics as required
Change Management: support the Regional Sales Director in the change management and in streamlining and making effective the implementation of new strategies and procedures
Team management: lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales specialist and inside sales, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals
Education and professional experience
* Master’s degree preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering
* At least 15 years related working experience preferably in electro-chemistry, at least 10 in sales roles in the EMEIA region
* Strong technical knowledge of the CA market and industry trends
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
* Ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies
* Strong negotiation and closing skills
* Strong leadership and inclusive, multicultural team management skills
* Excellent written and verbal English communication skills in. Knowledge of German and or/Italian is a plus
* Ability to drive change and innovation
