The Chemtech division of Sulzer is the global market leader in innovative mass transfer, static mixing and polymer solutions for chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and LNG. Sulzer Chemtech Separation Technology (ST, part of Sulzer’s Chemtech division) develops, designs, and produces mass transfer equipment (e.g., trays, structured packing, gas liquid separators, etc.) for separation processes like distillation, absorption, stripping, evaporation and phase separation. Also, installation of this equipment is part of our portfolio.
We are looking for a Sales Manager Mass Transfer Components to join our CT_MTCS team in Italy to support and help grow our activities in the Italian and Greek territories. Based in our Milan Sulzer Chemtech office, you will be managing Sulzer Chemtech’s customers, supported by our application specialists at our HQ in Switzerland and Service Centre in the UK. We are looking for a Sales Manager with experience ideally in the Oil & Gas and Refinery sectors.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
* Lead our local customer base to strengthen the commercial relationship and maximize their potential in terms of Order Intake.
* Develop and implement sales plans, and execute sales activities and strategies for the Italian/Greek territory, including key account development, white spot conversion and win-back strategies, growing order intake and market penetration.
* Review customer technical and commercial RFQs to determine technical solutions, and support our proposals team to produce costing, cash flow, and risk analysis in line with our internal requirements.
* Lead negotiations of technical/commercial proposals with customers and secure order awards.
* Proactively identify and progress opportunities with customers, including customer visits and reporting, presentation of our portfolio, and ensuring technical/commercial preference positions for Sulzer.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Master/Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in mechanical or preferably chemical engineering.
* Minimum 5 years of international sales experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Refinery, or Chemical industry environments.
* A high level of flexibility, excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
* The ability to work independently as well as in a team.
* Fluency in English.
* Willingness to travel mainly within Italy and Greece to customer locations, and occasionally outside of the region (e.g., for meetings/trainings at HQ in Switzerland or other facilities in Europe).
* Curiosity, proactivity, and commercial acumen.
* A valid Italian driver’s license.
