MARKETING MANAGER - COMPANION ANIMALS
POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of this role is to ensure that customers' needs are met whilst maximizing the profits of the company. The Companion Animals Marketing Manager will monitor and analyze market trends, study competitors' products and services, explore ways of improving existing products and services, increase profitability, and identify target customers. Develop strategies to communicate with veterinarians and pet owners in order to maximize demand (sell-out).
Location: Rome - with some business travel requested.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Create a brand plan and brand strategy ensuring all activities are consistent and delivered on time.
* Plan, develop, and implement effective marketing communication campaigns towards veterinarians and pet owners.
* Responsible for price definition and correct execution.
* Create brand messages that will ensure growth, brand loyalty, and market share gain.
* Champion the brand internally, making sure that all members of the company understand the brand and its goals.
* Work closely with all parts of the company to ensure goals of the brand are met.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders (Vets, KOL, Associations, etc).
* Forecast sales and volume for the brand ensuring all parts of the company are geared accordingly.
* Play a key part in sourcing the brand's products and ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain are aligned with the objectives.
* Develop high-quality and effective marketing materials aligned with the overall brand strategy and company purpose.
* Present the brand strategy to directors and sales and marketing teams at internal meetings and conferences.
* Manage external agencies in line with brand budget allocation.
* Seek new marketing opportunities that fit with the brand and maximize all opportunities for growth.
* Develop strong working relationships with sales teams.
* In collaboration with BUD, Marketing Lead, and Distribution team, carry out a regular analysis of finance forecasting and phasing.
* Report any possible pharmacovigilance issues detected during post-marketing activities and/or clinical trials.
* Read the main Vets journals/magazines and report any possible pharmacovigilance issues that might be described.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
* Business Marketing Studies or other Scientific Degree. Degree in Veterinary would be an advantage.
* 5 years working as a brand manager in pharma RX, OTC or FMCG markets.
* Driven and passionate in the approach to marketing.
* Experience of the full marketing mix is essential.
* The ability to influence staff on a 360 basis both up and down the organization is essential.
* Business acumen and data-driven.
