The Regional On The Road (OTR) manager will maximize the OTR operations and DA experience by leveraging operational and stakeholder relationships. They will be the custodian of DSP and DA experience at station level ensuring they achieve the highest standards around DA Engagement and create a ‘win-win’ culture between Operations and the DSPs.
The Regional OTR manager will define the medium-term OTR strategy, while being able to lead and influence both internal and external stakeholders to align AMZL processes, goals, and strategies with DSPs. They will take the lead in OTR capacity planning and will be responsible for the OTR Ramp plans, working closely with the MEU capacity team and the Business Coaches to ensure that DSPs achieve their pool numbers. They will need to identify risks early and implement contingency plans to solve Peak periods.
The Regional OTR manager will coordinate performance improvements across the regions, working closely with OTR ACES, OTR Safety, and Community teams to implement best practices while putting the DSP experience at the heart of the solution. They will own the Regional OTR WBRs and will work closely with the site DSMs and Delivery Ops as a trusted OTR SME partner to help site operations improve customer experience.
The Regional OTR manager will partner with their regional Business Coach(es) to support the growth of DSPs within their stations and proactively identify issues, supporting the DSPs and removing blockers so DSPs can achieve their full potential.
The Regional OTR manager will be required to work flexibly and will travel between multiple sites weekly to work with site leadership effectively. The role is field-based, aligned to up to 6 Last Mile Delivery Stations plus associated nodes, requiring a significant level of travel.
Key Job Responsibilities
1. Safety: Work with OTR safety and site operations to deliver regional safety metrics.
2. Performance: Lead in OTR performance improvement across the region and provide RLT weekly visibility, including paths to green.
3. Performance: Deliver Regional WBR for on-road performance (DSP scorecard / Ops Scorecard) for the region.
4. Performance: Lead improvement activities in key priority areas for the Region (e.g., DA ratios, rostering performance, nursery compliance, DNR).
5. Experience: Create sustainable business practices that foster a ‘win-win’ culture between Operations and the DSPs.
6. Experience: Ensure a best-in-class DA experience at site level and coordinate DA engagement across the region.
7. Experience: Be the voice of the DSP within the operational region.
8. Cost: Work with site operations, ACES, and CO to ensure routing efficiency and best practices are followed to improve CPP.
9. Capacity Management: Own, deliver, and execute the regional resourcing plans (e.g., DA moves, % changes, capacity risk management).
10. Capacity Management: Execute the DA Ramp up and down plan.
11. Capacity Management: Plan Regional network changes (PCD, mech changes, launches).
12. Programme & Project ownership: Coordinate OTR ACES and OTR Safety projects across the region.
13. Leadership: Dotted-line leadership of the regional AMDO and SMDO Community.
14. Partnership: Partner with Senior Regional Manager as key stakeholder.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Degree Qualification or equivalent.
2. Direct management experience in a logistics, manufacturing, engineering, production, or distribution environment.
3. Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement.
4. Excellent communication skills (including local language and English, written and verbal).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Direct management experience working in Amazon Logistics.
2. Experience in managing projects and/or programs.
3. Strong analytical capability; track record of digging into data and finding solutions for a variety of operational problems.
