Cloud DevOps Engineer

A Cloud DevOps Engineer is a Cloud Expert responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools in the cloud that support the DevOps culture and practices within the organization.
You will be a reference expert, responsible for creating and maintaining cloud infrastructure and platforms for Sky Digital Channels Products (AWS and Azure).
You will be part of a team focused on ensuring Sky products operate at their best by emphasizing process automation, monitoring, and optimization of the infrastructure and services alongside software development engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing infrastructure from design/validation to implementation with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
2. Designing and building automation frameworks (CI/CD, DevSecOps, Test Automation).
3. Designing and managing monitoring and logging tools.
4. Mentoring DevOps culture within the software center.
5. Participating fully in establishing and driving organizational processes/initiatives, including the adoption of ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset & Configuration, Continuity, Security, Financial, etc.).
Requirements:
1. Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
2. Strong proficiency in designing, validating, and implementing Cloud solutions (AWS/Azure).
3. Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD principles, practices, and tools (e.g., Jenkins).
4. Working knowledge of containers and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
5. Strong understanding and working knowledge of Cloud networking and security patterns.
6. Experience with code versioning systems such as Git, CI/CD frameworks, and scripting languages (Bash, Python, TypeScript).
7. Experience in monitoring platforms (i.e., ELK, Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus).
8. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with immediate team members, other IT areas, and clients in other departments.
9. Ability to identify operational issues, support, and provide real-time solutions, making appropriate decisions.
10. On-call rotation experience.
11. Professional knowledge of the English language, written and spoken.
