Your Role and Responsibilities
The Global Business Development & Sales Leader is a strategic role responsible for driving growth and revenue in a large global strategic account. This role encompasses both business development and sales leadership, requiring a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and IBM's solution portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Growth: Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities in a large global strategic account, focusing on industry clouds, solutions, partnerships, and industry architectures.
2. Go-to-Market Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a new go-to-market approach, incorporating elements such as pre-sales Garages, digital sales, compensation, and seller enablement.
3. Industry Insights: Infuse global industry insights into client engagements, portfolio, and talent, working in concert with Technology Lifecycle Services Sales, Solution and Delivery teams to drive grow signings and revenue growth worldwide.
4. Accountability and Feedback: Hold the sales and business development teams accountable for achieving their goals and objectives, providing constructive feedback and coaching for continuous improvement and growth.
5. Budget and Resource Management: Oversee the budget and resource allocation for sales and business development initiatives, ensuring effective use of funds and resources, and approving expenses in compliance with organizational financial policies.
6. Mentorship and Guidance: Offer guidance and mentorship to sales and business development leaders and members, supporting their professional and personal development and aligning with IBM's talent development goals.
7. Business Case Advocacy: Emphasize the business case for sales and business development initiatives, highlighting their impact on employee engagement, retention, and productivity, and demonstrating their alignment with IBM's overall business strategy and goals.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
1. Proven track record on exceeding sales targets
2. Ability to foster a strong client relationship across multiple countries with the key client stakeholders
3. Experienced effective communicator across diverse cultural teams
4. Proven track record managing a single client on an international basis
5. Team player who can collaborate on an international basis
6. Extensive knowledge of the global maintenance market
7. Able to travel internationally based on business demands
