Purpose of the Job
The main purpose of the role is to provide technical support to maintenance activities (on site or by remote) on Railway Signalling Systems operated by our domestic and international Customers. The role includes the responsibility to be the technical Customer interface in global service maintenance contracts and to manage warranty obligations on the projects in the scope of our company.
Position in the Organization
The position will be part of our Services Signalling Business Unit Organization - Maintenance and Technical Assistance team.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
* System performance monitoring;
* Execution and supervision of HW and SW system upgrade;
* Technical expertise with product engineering in case of unknown bug or unknown behaviour;
* Providing Customer feedback in order to improve products and meet Customer's needs;
* Providing training to Customer maintenance staff;
* Definition and implementation of Maintenance and technical assistance plans;
* Coordination and support to maintenance technicians on field;
* Providing support to Service organization in the definition of maintenance strategy in tenders and offers;
* Cooporation with product engineering in the definition of maintainability requirements during the product's design phase.
Requirements
* Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
* Degree in Mathematics/Physics will be also considered.
* Knowledge of electronic design principle and methodology;
* BASIC knowledge of the most common operating systems;
* BASIC knowledge of the most common net protocols (TCP/IP, …);
* Capability to interpret electric drawings and schemes;
* Capability to use test tools (oscilloscope, wave generator, multimeter, etc…) will be a plus;
* Knowledge of railways signalling systems and principles will be a plus;
* Capability to perform analysis and to relate information from different contexts;
* Capability to work in team and attitude to problem solving;
* Capability to work in stress and urgency conditions;
* At least two years of experience on Electronic/Electromechanical company as on site or remote technical assistanceis is desirable.
Language
* Italian: excellent level written and spoken;
* English: good level written and spoken.
