About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to join our team at NETtoWORK. As an Infrastructure and Service Advisor, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing the company's IT infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Server and System Management: Installing, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtual servers (Windows and Linux) to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability.
* Infrastructure Support: Providing technical support for system administration tasks such as user management, permissions, and software deployment.
* Active Directory and Network Services: Administering Active Directory (including Microsoft Azure AD), ensuring efficient directory and network services.
* System Security: Implementing and managing security measures, including firewalls, patch management, and system monitoring, to safeguard the IT infrastructure.
* Backup and Disaster Recovery: Configuring and managing backup systems to ensure data integrity and availability, as well as developing and testing disaster recovery plans.
* Virtualization: Managing virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V, maintaining virtual environments, and optimizing resource allocation.
* System Monitoring and Optimization: Monitoring system performance and capacity, proactively identifying potential issues, and optimizing resources for improved efficiency.
Required Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
* Operating Systems: Strong knowledge and experience in administering Windows Server and Linux systems, including configuration, patching, and troubleshooting.
* Virtualization: Proficiency in virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
* Active Directory and Network Services: Hands-on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
* System Security: Understanding of best practices in system security, including patch management, antivirus solutions, firewalls, and auditing.
* Backup and Disaster Recovery: Experience with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault) and the development of disaster recovery plans.
* Scripting and Automation: Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash to automate administrative tasks and streamline processes.
* Networking Fundamentals: Basic understanding of networking protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, firewalls) and how they interact with system administration.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in system administration, managing enterprise IT environments.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
