And this way finds its answers in our daily actions.Our primary goal is to increase our positive impact on the world through more than 30.000 installed lasers in 150 countries.Our company is constantly growing, in constant evolution not only in the search for innovation but above all for People and Talents who join our path.We believe in sustainability, in responsibility; we are firm supporters of interpersonal relationships based on mutual listening, between people who know how to leverage creativity in search of solutions.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are seeking a Junior Laser & Optical Designer to join our Research & Development Department, specifically within the Optical & Laser Design Team.The role will involve leading experimental activities focused on the development of new products, in collaboration with other R&D Teams.These activities aim to identify and implement optimal solutions for the development of innovative laser sources and systems, including their characterization and qualification.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESAnalyze, experiment and conduct technical feasibility studies on laser and optical systems.Verify and validate components, subsystems, and/or laser systems.Develop solutions under the supervision of senior team members.Draft technical documentation related to components, subsystems, and/or laser systems.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORTo successfully carry out the required activities, we are seeking candidates with:Master’s degree in physics or engineering physicsStrong inclination for experimental activitiesSome experience (e.g., academic or internship) in experimental research involving optics or laser sourcesGood knowledge of the English languageSolid theoretical background on the operating principles of major solid-state and fiber lasers, as well as optics, including anisotropic and non-linear mediaPrevious experience with optoelectronic sensors and measurement instruments, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power meters, photodiodes, cameras, thermal cameras, data loggers, temperature probes, current probes etc.Preferred knowledge and experience with software for mathematical simulations of optical systems (Zemax, LasCad, Comsol, MATLAB)Preferred knowledge and experience with software for automated testing (LABVIEW - National Instruments)Knowledge of optical fibers is a plusGood organizational skillsStrong reporting skillsPassionate about optics and laser technology?
