CNS Worldwide Executive Search is recruiting for an Application Marketing Specialist to join the Sales & Marketing Division of a cutting-edge scientific instrumentation company.
This role is pivotal in driving pre-sales support, marketing content development, and technical expertise for complex analytical equipment, particularly within the field of X-ray analytical technologies (e.g., SAXS/SANS, XRD).
The ideal candidate will possess a rare blend of scientific expertise and marketing acumen, with a passion for customer success, cross-functional collaboration, and impactful communication.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Development Support
* Foster a collaborative, customer-focused culture within the organization.
* Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams to align strategies and ensure a unified approach to business growth and customer satisfaction.
2. Scientific Expertise & Market Engagement
* Apply advanced knowledge of X-ray analytical tools to support product development and demonstrate real-world application value.
* Partner with Marketing to develop use cases and impactful content that clearly articulates product advantages and industry relevance.
* Assist Sales in analyzing customer challenges and recommending optimal solutions using analytical equipment.
* Conduct engaging product demonstrations, delivering clear, technical value propositions to prospective customers.
3. Product Deployment & Evolution
* Work alongside Product Managers and Marketing Communications to generate marketing assets and promotional content for product launches and campaigns.
* Support ongoing customer communication efforts, showcasing product updates and innovations.
* Analyze evolving customer and market needs to guide product strategy.
* Conduct market segmentation research and competitive analysis.
* Provide insights on feature enhancements and propose key differentiators for current and future products.
* Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote offerings and capture market intelligence.
4. Customer-Centric Collaboration & Communication
* Act as a trusted advisor to customers throughout the sales cycle.
* Strengthen relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver tailored, high-impact solutions.
* Maintain a high level of responsiveness to customer needs and feedback.
Qualifications:
* PhD in Physics, Chemistry, or related field, with a focus on analytical techniques.
* Extensive experience with X-ray-based characterization tools (SAXS/SANS, XRD).
* Strong track record in the application, interpretation, and communication of complex analytical data.
* Expertise in related instrumentation and scientific principles underpinning X-ray analysis.
* Skilled in scientific data analysis, interpretation, and visualization.
* Experience in marketing activities, particularly related to scientific product/application positioning.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Proactive, curious mindset with a commitment to staying at the forefront of X-ray technologies.
Reporting Line:
Reports directly to the Sales and Marketing Director, working in close coordination with both application experts and product management.
