SYSTEM ENGINEER - OIL & GAS DOMAIN

Roles & Responsibilities
The System Engineer will be responsible for the design of Auxiliaries Systems for electric motor or turbine driven compression trains, turbogen and turboexpanders applications in the Oil & Gas industry.
He/She will have the opportunity to introduce new technology to enhance company profitability and productivity, as well as incorporating new cost-effective design solutions.
In its role, the System Engineer shall be able to perform the following main activities:
1. Consistency of process and auxiliary systems design with respect to customer specifications requirements, international code (API, IEC, ISO, ASME), local and industry standards.
2. Design/calculation and selection of main system components such as condensers, heat exchangers, pumps, separators, KOD, recovery heat steam generators, control, safety and on/off valves, boosters, heaters, pressure containing vessels, orifices, filters.
3. System integration with respect to piping class, material selection, instrument selection and installation.
4. Calculation of process transients and high level definition of control logic.
5. Manage design reviews, both internal and with customer.
6. Delivery of documentation in scope according to planning (i.e. PI&D, etc.).
Work Experience
Background/Requirements
1. Technical Diploma / BSc / MSc Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Automation Engineering.
2. Expertise in systems calculation using dedicated tools.
3. Expertise on industry standards and key customer requirements.
4. Knowledge of specifications and standards required for the development of P&IDs as symbology, lines and instrumentations numbering, equipment tagging, drafting requirements etc.
5. Deep knowledge of process design criteria for line sizing and pressure drop calculations.
6. Expertise on turbomachinery operations and controls.
7. Extensive knowledge of package integration with focus on mechanical and instrument disciplines.
8. Fluent English (spoken and written).
9. Knowledgeable in using the following tools: Autocad, PidXP, Matlab/Simulink, FlowMaster, Hysys, Teamcenter, Rulestream.
