Role descriptionAs a systems engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a range of systems engineering activities in newcleo's LFR projects, such as managing requirements, interfaces, and VV, maintaining design coherence, liaising with stakeholders, and developing architecture.Our Systems Engineering Team is composed of highly skilled engineers from a diverse range of technical backgrounds who enjoy the challenge of complex projects and playing a pivotal role in the design, development, and integration of advanced nuclear systems. This is an opportunity to join a supportive and open team where your work will have an impact on the future of sustainable nuclear energy.Main activitiesCreating, updating, or coordinating artifacts such as the operations concept, functional and physical architectures, requirement and compliance statements, verification and validation planning, optioneering assessments, design risk assessments (safety and CDM), and FMEA's.Supporting integrated technical management (technical and project risks and issues, technical assumptions, interfaces, design configuration).Liaising with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure design coordination.Responding to technical queries as required.Supporting the implementation of a model supported engineering approach.Desired qualificationsEducation:University degree in a technical subjectLanguages:For all locations: Working knowledge of English is a mustFor location in Italy: Fluent Italian, French is a plusExperience / Professional requirements:Strong systems engineering experience in one or more product lifecycle phases.Experience with software tools for requirements and system architecture.Experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).Experience in fission nuclear, although other highly regulated backgrounds will be considered.Basic understanding of power plant design and operations.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Ability to work with a multi-national multi-cultural team and to attain and maintain the respect and confidence of all stakeholders.
