System Administrator
We are looking for a System Administrator / IT Operations Engineer to join our team in Florence.
You'll be a member of our System Administration Team, collaborating to ensure excellent day-to-day functioning of our systems.
Monitoring and analyzing our infrastructure and services you will ensure that our applications and systems are up-to-date, safe, scale, and run smoothly, taking care of their updates and evolutions.
You'll continuously improve our IT operations supporting software developers and other IT teams.
In this role, you should have a strong grasp of Windows and Linux systems, networking architectures, and hybrid cloud stacks. If you also know best practices for IT operations and are passionate about quality and automation we’d like to meet you!
You will:
1. Maintain servers, networking systems, corporate directories on Cloud and on-premises, for testing, troubleshooting and upgrades, including security-related activities.
2. Support software development in terms of product improvement and uptime also in terms of new solutions and deployment pipelines.
3. Support at higher level (2nd-3rd) the IT help desk team.
4. Manage and update documentation.
5. Identify and report systems that can benefit from automation, monitoring and performance optimizations.
6. Remain up-to-date on industry trends, share knowledge among teams and abide by industry best practices.
Requirements:
1. Passion for working with technology.
2. At least 5 years professional experience as Systems Engineer / System Administrator / IT Operations Technician.
3. Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux systems.
4. Network firewall rules management (Paolo Alto experience is a plus).
5. Microsoft Active Directory on-premises and on cloud (DCs, AD forests, distributed policies).
6. Backup and recovery, DR Tools (Veeam, AWS tools).
7. Knowledge of networking management and networking devices (mainly Cisco Catalyst/Meraki, WLC).
8. Net Storage / File servers / FC SANs (Preferably Powerstore, Compellent).
9. High Availability of IT infrastructure.
10. Management of virtualization/containerization software (e.g. VMWare, EC2, Docker, Kubernetes).
11. Public Cloud infrastructures (Amazon Web Services and/or other vendors).
12. Infrastructure as code and automation tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible.
13. Monitoring tools like Nagios, AWS Cloudwatch, Dynatrace, Newrelic.
14. Administration of relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server, MySql, AWS Aurora, IBM DB2.
15. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in Italian language.
16. Work proficiency in English language.
