ROLE PURPOSE
1. Ensures effective leadership and future direction of Italy Market Access Strategies, both on national and regional level: Pricing & Reimbursement, Tender & Contracting and Regional Access for the whole Biopharma Business to support Pfizer business current priorities and future growth.
2. Direct report to the Italy Country President and Member of Italy Country Leadership Team (CLT).
3. Leader of a team of 50+ colleagues.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
PRICING & REIMBURSEMENT, HEALTH ECONOMICS and OUTCOMES RESEARCH
4. Develop the P&R Negotiation Strategy, as part of a comprehensive Access Plan, collecting all relevant contributions from internal functions and Globa/Regional H&V Teams and manage the entire Negotiation process with the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA).
5. Obtain and maintain the optimal competitive P&R conditions for in-line products along their lifecycle, managing the relationship with the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA).
6. Ensuring successful conditions for the several ongoing/future launches of the company in several therapeutic areas.
7. Monitor the Environment and the P&R Negotiations of competitors to provide proper and updated information and insights to develop guidance on Pricing and Market Access issues.
8. Actively participate to XFTs to collaborate to elaborate the brands strategy.
9. Ensure an effective and timely design and development of BIM, Cost-effectiveness analysis, according to Global and Local strategies.
10. Guarantee appropriate local data generation to support Products value proposition.
TENDERING & CONTRACTING
Supervision of Tender & Contracting team, responsible for Tenders management and Health Intelligence and Hospital Intelligence activities.
REGIONAL ACCESS
Lead Regional Access team, which represents Pfizer at regional level, building trust between Institutions and Company and Responsible, in collaboration with all Biopharma BUs, for the definition of Regional access strategy and implementation. This includes regional activities like:

12. differentiation support
13. BIM / cost comparison
14. DPC / Distribution model analysis
15. ensuring patient health while ensuring business health
QUALIFICATIONS
16. Master’s Degree in economic/ scientific disciplines - MBA is a plus;
17. Experience in a similar position/international environment in a pharmaceutical organization;
18. In-depth Industry and Market Access Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Italian healthcare system & Market Access regulations; Awareness of current trends, challenges, and opportunities – Pricing and Reimbursement, Health Economics, HEOR, HTA;
19. Strategic and Analytical Thinking and Planning: Proficiency in analyzing market data to inform strategic decisions, ability to develop and implement effective market access strategies and anticipate future market changes and plan accordingly; Problem-solving and adaptability, strong decision-making skills, often under pressure and with incomplete information;
20. Financial Literacy and Commercial Awareness: Insight into the broader business context, ability to develop and articulate strong value propositions;
21. Stakeholder Management: Relationship Building, Negotiation Skills, Ability to clearly communicate complex information to diverse audiences;
22. Leadership and Team Management: Experience in leading and motivating cross-functional teams; Project management skills;
