We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Country Sales Manager to lead our sales and marketing operations in Italy. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a deep understanding of the shipping industry, excellent commercial acumen, and the ability to drive a high-performing sales team.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business DevelopmentDevelop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth.Ensure achievement of sales budgets and targets.Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base.Team Leadership & Performance ManagementLead, mentor, and develop the sales and marketing team.Foster a high-performance culture, setting clear goals and expectations.Conduct regular sales meetings and training sessions to ensure continuous improvement.Monitor Account Owners’ (AO) performance, guiding their activities and priorities.Market & Industry AnalysisStay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry regulations.Use analytical tools (e.g., BU Analyzer) to identify high-value cargo opportunities.Monitor forecasting performance and ensure high forecast-to-actual ratios.Requirements:Professional Education in Supply Chain, alternatively University Degree in Business Administration (Logistic Management)Min. 5 Years of Professional Experience in similar management positions in global shipping or forwarding companies.Maintain and grow customer relationships and meet important customers. Have strong knowledge of the market.Strong leadership skills, high social competency, good interpersonal and investigative skillsExtended knowledge in Shipping Business (Marketing and Sales), MS Office, CRMLanguages: Italian (Must) and Fluent Business English (Must)Travel: Within Italy frequently, Option to travel abroad to attend regional and global Sales projects or fairs
