This position reports to Product Manager Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Product Management in managing the General Purpose Drive product portfolio. You will support the sales network and respond to customer needs by analyzing market and competitor trends to identify new opportunities for development. You will collaborate directly with the factory to define product specifications in line with the market requirements. Your expertise will be demonstrated through various activities, supporting the development, launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability of the assigned product range. The work model for this role is LI-Onsite. This position contributes to the Motion Drive Products division located in Sesto San Giovanni or Padova or Bologna, with key stakeholders including sales and factories. Main Responsibilities: Manage the technical specifications of assigned products and support Product Management and Business Developers in portfolio development, product launch, maintenance, pricing, and profitability. Develop the business for assigned products (Standard Drives /General Purpose Drives), collaborating with the sales network and Business Developers to meet customer needs in the strategic segments HVACR, Water & Wastewater, and Food & Beverage. Manage the market introduction, positioning, and lifecycle of new product variants/options. Provide training on new products, systems, and services to internal teams and customers. Work closely with the factory to ensure product compliance with market requirements, providing continuous input on trends and the needs of the Italian market. Share key ongoing opportunities and identify high-potential market segments. Act as the main interface between the factory and the Local Sales Unit, supporting the sales network in managing special agreements to meet OEM requirements while ensuring profitability for sustainable growth. Prepare and update price lists, ensuring consistency in product range offerings. Conduct market research and competitive analysis and effectively communicate findings to the sales network. Explore and develop high-potential market segments. Become the go-to reference for the sales network in handling the most important and complex cases. Keep the sales network promptly informed about new products and successful solutions already tested with other customers. Qualifications for the role You have extensive experience in technical sales of industrial automation products (frequency converter/inverter). You have knowledge of applications in the target segments HVACR, Water & Wastewater, Food & Beverage and Compressors with at least 4-5 years of experience. Ability to demonstrate your experience and knowledge in light industries and related sectors. You are innovative in customer relationships and strategic opportunities and have a strong interest in market trends and analysis. You have proven experience in the field of automation. You have strong relationship-building and networking skills, working across various functions at ABB. You are comfortable communicating in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
