Deal Advisory is the KPMG Advisory line of services that helps companies create value by evaluating the risks and opportunities of corporate finance transactions, facilitating the various stages of the deal, and identifying critical aspects to streamline the process. The Deal advisory team brings its multi-disciplinary know-how to every stage of the transaction.
Our Deal Strategy team provides support in M&As, from pre-deal evaluation to post-deal integration or separation, focusing on defining and quantifying all value creation levers. As a team member, you will work closely with lenders, shareholders, and managers at all levels, supporting clients in corporate finance transactions using digital tools and technology daily.
Join our teams in Milan to gain experience supporting shareholders and management of client companies in solving complex business challenges, from strategy definition to execution of value creation initiatives, focusing on Pre-Deal Business/Operational Due Diligence, Business Planning, and Post-Deal Integration phases.
Specifically, you will work on:
• Business & Strategic Planning: Collaborate with C-level executives to assess the business quickly and define/quantify improvement actions for investors and stakeholders;
• Business & Commercial Due Diligence: Analyze business dynamics, market, and competition for potential targets, working with private equity funds and other buyers;
• Synergy assessment and execution: Analyze potential synergies pre- and post-deal, supporting clients from quantification to implementation and tracking;
• Integration & Separation Management Office: Define and drive Day 1 Readiness plan, D100 Integration plan, Target Operating Model, etc.

You will be part of a dynamic, motivated team, actively involved in projects and liaising with key executives from day one.
This opportunity is ideal if you have:
• At least four years of experience in a strategy consulting firm or strategy/cost management functions within industrial, consumer, or retail companies, focusing on operations improvement and cost reduction initiatives;
• A master's degree in business subjects, with additional post-graduate courses in data science, business analytics, or digital innovation preferred;
• A keen interest in pre- and post-M&A activities;
• An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and KPIs;
• Excellent communication skills in Italian & English;
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
• Knowledge of data and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Qlik) is a plus;
• Willingness to travel within Italy and abroad.
