SOLUTIONS ENGINEER
Overview
Solutions Engineer (SE) is a technical role part of the sales BU and is very strategic because contributes in creating and reinforcing relationships with customers and partners at all levels.
Primary responsibility is to manage the pre-sales process working alongside the sales team to identify customer’s needs and help them focusing on Powersoft products and solutions.
To be effective, an SE needs to have technical skills, knowledge of pro audio systems and fixed install solutions, and a strong ability to manage customers interactions.
From customers perspective, the SE is a trusted advisor who proactively learns and understands their technical and business challenges and can propose efficient and effective solutions.
SE will develop pre-sales activities conducting discovery calls, deliver presentations, demonstrate key features and the advantages of Powersoft solutions in coordination with SE Team strategy.
SE will also provide technical support responding to technical queries by Customer (Key Accounts, System Integrators, Consultants, Distributors, Manufacturers…), and organize training activities.
SE works in cooperation with Business Development & Sales Departments with the main responsibilities of handling Consultants relationship and following big projects.
Responsibility and duties
* Support all pre-sales phases providing specifications advice, products analysis, technical information, and design solutions for customer’s projects
* Develop and deliver technical trainings to Powersoft customers and partners
* Provide operational support to major installation projects or performance PA systems through remote or on-site activities
* Analyse tender documents for supporting potential customers and system integrators in their submissions and create technical documents about the proposed solutions
* Pro-actively represent Powersoft and grow brand awareness in tradeshows, networking events, and client’s visits
* Bachelor’s degree in Sound Engineering or equivalent
* At least 3 years of experience with design and installation of Pro AV systems
* Strong knowledge of AoIP protocols
* Training skills and problem-solving abilities
* Customer-oriented attitude
* Teamwork and active-listening skills
* Self-motivation and able to work for targets
* Knowledge of Windows OS, and CRM systems
* Availability to traveling 50% of the time
Qualifications that would be a plus
* Able to speak a 2nd and/or 3rd language
* Familiarity with control systems like Q-SYS, Crestron, Symetrix, Control4, etc.
