We are looking for motivated and talented Data Scientists to join our Data Science team. RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data in banking and insurance, identifying useful patterns and insights to support business processes and decisions.
* Design, develop and implement advanced machine learning, data mining and statistical models to solve complex problems in finance.
* Collaborate in cross-functional teams to define project requirements and propose innovative solutions. Contribute to the development of proprietary frameworks and algorithms to improve the performance of solutions offered to our clients.
* Present complex results to technical and non-technical stakeholders, making analysis results understandable.
* Support customers in implementing solutions, ensuring knowledge transfer and customization.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in data wrangling, cleaning, exploration and feature extraction.
* Excellent knowledge of Python and the most important analytical libraries.
* Knowledge of statistics, Machine Learning and major clustering, classification and regression algorithms.
* Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques, predictive modeling with the application of Machine Learning models, and data analysis.
* Ability to creatively solve complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
* Ability to rapidly prototype ideas/solutions with a critical/experimental approach to data analysis.
* Good communication skills and ability to translate technical results into insights for non-experts.
* Aptitude for teamwork, with strong orientation toward interdisciplinary collaboration.
NICE TO HAVE:
* Experience with code versioning systems (git).
* Experience in Pyspark development and working in big data platforms.
* Knowledge of at least one major cloud environment (Azure, GCP, AWS).
* Experience in processing and modeling with unstructured data (Text Analytics, Computer Vision).
* Prior analytical experience in the financial industry.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Master's degree or PhD with excellent grades in Data Science, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields.
* Experience in a corporate setting (including internships), preferably in finance or insurance.
