The Restaurant Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant within the exclusive member club. They oversee all aspects of dining service, including staffing, customer satisfaction, and quality control, to deliver an exceptional dining experience for members and guests.
Main Activities and Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise and all restaurant staff, including waitstaff and hosts/hostesses, to ensure exceptional service standards and guest satisfaction.
Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation and delivery of food orders, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
Oversee dining room setup and ambiance, including table settings, decor, and lighting, to create a welcoming and elegant atmosphere, based on club standard.
Help manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock control, to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
Monitor and manage reservation systems to optimize seating arrangements and accommodate member preferences and special requests.
Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive resolution and maintaining strong relationships with members.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including regular inspections and coordination with cleaning supervisor.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as liquor licensing laws, in coordination with relevant departments.
Monitor financial performance, analyze sales data, and implement strategies to increase revenue and profitability while controlling costs.
Plan and execute special events, private dining experiences, and themed nights to enhance the club's offerings and attract new members.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, communication, and professional development among staff.
Manage other activities relating to or resulting from what is indicated in the previous points.
Key Competencies:
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Proven experience (5+ years) in a supervisory or managerial role in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong knowledge of fine dining service standards, including wine service, tableside etiquette, and guest relations.
Familiarity with POS systems, reservation software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of one or more foreign languages (min. fluent in Italian and English).
