Scope of Position
Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Import Department or Distribution Department
Major Duties and Responsibilities
1. Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
2. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
3. Track and Trace files and reporting
4. Interact with our customers in arranging their shipments, meeting customer service standards
5. Contribute to maintain good relationships with suppliers
6. Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations
7. Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
8. Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place
9. Network communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)
10. Escalation of problems to Management when necessary
11. Promote compliance in diligently following all company policies and regulations and performing the task at hand with
12. Outstanding integrity
Qualifications
Knowledge
13. 1-2 years or more related experience (preferred)
14. Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
15. Hazardous materials certification (preferred)
16. Global Logistics Industry knowledge
17. Fluent in English and Italian

18. Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
