JOB TITLE
Job Title : Senior Project Planner
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
1. Develop and update schedules for projects that reach up to a medium level of criticality.
2. Evaluate and effectively communicate the time related project information in various formats
3. Advise the project team on the ways to reach On Time Delivery (OTD) performance
4. Advise the team on the time related contractual disputes
5. Influence development and alignment of schedules of project stakeholders
6. Develop and manage project scheduling documentation
7. Support other project planners

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES
For all:
15. Apply the company's time management processes
16. Promote the time management practices and culture in the project team
17. Capture and analyse the return of experience (REX) from its project
In tender:
18. Analyse tender documentation to understand schedule management requirements, including schedule structure, reporting constraints, and contractual requirements.
19. Set a timeline for tender preparation and ensure its adherence until the tender submission.
20. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate inputs and define project schedule interfaces.
21. Contribute to formulating the project execution strategy.
22. Develop the tender schedule based on contract requirements, subsystem commitments, gap analysis, and the tender execution strategy.
23. Identify the project schedule's critical path and risks, suggesting optimization and mitigation actions.
24. Highlight differences between the intial assumptions and the final tender schedule.
25. Draft the tender schedule narrative.
26. Ensure on-time delivery of schedule-related deliverables.
27. Present scheduling information during tender gate reviews.
Performance measurements in tenders:
28. On-time delivery of tender deliverables,
29. On time delivery of schedule analysis for decisions by the Tender Team: critical paths for main milestones, planning risks and mitigation actions
30. Develop the tender schedule in line with defined quality metrics
In contract or program execution:
31. Develop quality schedules in accordance with the company's procedures, contractual requirements, and stakeholder inputs.
32. Optimize schedules considering multiple criteria such as on-time delivery, cash generation, penalty avoidance, and efficient utilization of available resources.
33. Ensure validation the baseline schedule.
34. Develop a Project Time Management Plan.
35. Organize and lead regular project schedule review sessions, challenging stakeholders' assumptions about time performance.
36. Align the commitments of internal and external stakeholders, manage schedule interfaces, and proactively address inconsistencies.
37. Ensure on-time updates of both internal and external schedules, monitoring stakeholders' adherence to schedule quality standards.
38. Identify critical paths and both actual and potential delays in complex, interlinked schedules.
39. Guide the project team in identifying and mitigating risks and in seizing opportunities related to on-time delivery.
40. Lead the preparation of schedule and progress reports, illustrating progress with relevant KPIs and the Earned Value Methodology.
41. Support the Contract Manager in protecting the company's rights in time-related disputes and perform delay delay analysis
42. Provide support to teams on schedule-related issues.
43. Mentor and support other planners.

49. Industrial or construction background

50. Knowledge of different scheduling tools and techniques
Competencies & Skills :
51. Detailed knowledge of scheduling theory and methods, such as EVM.
52. Proficiency in one scheduling tool (OdyC, Primavera, etc.) and familiarity with an additional scheduling software tool (Kinaxis, MS Project, TILOS).
53. Advanced skills in MS Excel or other data analysis tools
54. Knowledge of time-related contractual obligations and principles of delay analysis.
55. Basic comprehension of railway industry products and technologies.
56. Curiosity, the drive to learn, and the readiness to share knowledge with others.
57. Good written and verbal communication skills; a effective team player.
58. Ability to challenge and guide teams and be proactive in proposing solutions.
59. Adaptability in a multi-cultural and rapidly changing environment.
