Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ESS Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize the logistics operations for our Energy Storage Solutions (ESS) division in Europe. This role will be responsible for managing end-to-end logistics, ensuring efficient supply chain operations, and driving cost-effective strategies for the timely delivery of ESS products.
Key Responsibilities:
* Logistics Strategy & Operations: Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs across the ESS supply chain.
* Supplier & Vendor Management: Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and warehousing partners to optimize transportation and distribution.
* Inventory & Warehouse Management: Oversee stock levels, manage warehouse operations, and ensure proper handling of ESS components.
* Order Fulfillment & Distribution: Ensure timely and accurate delivery of ESS products to customers, distributors, and project sites across Europe.
* Compliance & Regulations: Ensure adherence to EU import/export regulations, customs clearance procedures, and safety standards for energy storage products.
* Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the supply chain and implement improvements to enhance performance and efficiency.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with internal teams, including sales, project management, and production, to align logistics with business objectives.
* Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor logistics costs, negotiate contracts, and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality.
* Risk Management: Develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions in the supply chain and maintain business continuity.
* Technology & Data Analytics: Leverage logistics software and data analytics to track shipments, optimize routes, and improve overall supply chain visibility.
* Familiar with logistics TMS system and WMS system
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
* 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, preferably in the energy storage, renewables, or high-tech manufacturing sector.
* Strong knowledge of international logistics, shipping regulations, and customs compliance within the EU.
* Experience in managing third-party logistics (3PL) providers and warehouse operations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage internal and external stakeholders effectively.
* Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
* Willingness to travel within Europe as required.
