Job Description –
In this position, she/he represents the John Crane Group with customers in the Center of Italy. The new Area Manager will directly manage business with key accounts and will work in strict collaboration and coordination with multi-firm Agents responsible for other clients.
This position is preferably based in Livorno or in the center of Italy (home based).
Duties & Responsibilities
What you'll do –
1. Support clients from a technical point of view to find new business opportunities for John Crane's benefit.
2. Emit technical and commercial quotes to clients.
3. Negotiate selected opportunities under technical scope of supply, price, delivery date.
4. Scout the market for finding new clients.
5. Manage problems by being actively involved in actions by other company departments.
6. Promote partnership between John Crane and the assigned accounts by maximizing client satisfaction.
7. Appear to clients as a “problem-solver” and “solution-provider.”
8. Work in strict coordination with the assigned Agents and the Service Team.
9. Provide forecasts about business evolution with the assigned accounts.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
1. Important experience in Technical Sales, with consequent strategic mindset and negotiation capabilities.
2. Commercial mindset and orientation to new business development.
3. High communication skills and an easy-going personal approach.
4. Good knowledge of the process industry and rotating equipment from previous working experience.
5. Enthusiasm for business, endurance, and intensity of action.
6. Availability to spend at least 50% of working time in the market field.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS/ SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
1. Meet stakeholder and customer requirements and needs.
2. Prepare reports on project pipeline, competitor activities, and main orders.
3. Develop an annual Growth plan for assigned markets/customers.
4. Increase market share with existing customers.
Languages:
1. Fluent Italian and English required, written and spoken.
