Trade Marketing and Category Manager - Beauty Industry
For a Leading Beauty Company with a Premium and Historic Brand, we are looking for a Trade Marketing and Category Manager.
Description
Business Planning
1. Create Trade Marketing Plans with the customer with 360° activations on/offline.
2. Responsible for the perfect execution in store, with a clear category management strategy by retailer.
3. Design an annual promotional plan for each brand in coordination with Marketing to deliver national marketing plan, sales objectives, customer and consumer needs.
4. Agree promotional forecast with Demand Planning to support the achievement of Forecast Accuracy objectives.
5. Review pre and post promotional activity analysis to maximize key learnings.
6. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts. Provide weekly estimates on sales projections to the Leadership Team.
7. Manage Gross to net controls to optimize profitability. Manage a trade investment plan to maximize profitability.
8. Work with customer and Customer Services to minimize receivables to achieve targeted DSO (daily sales outstanding).
9. Build contacts with the forecasting and supply chain teams within the customer to manage the most cost effective supply chain.
10. Agree listings for all new products and brands as appropriate.
11. Negotiate cost price changes with the customer as appropriate.
Strategic Planning
1. Build strategic plans to build product categories and deliver short and long term company, customer and consumer objectives.
2. Develop strategic projects with the customer to ensure future growth for the business.
3. Liaise with the Senior buying teams of the customer.
Relationships
1. Build relationships at all levels of customer business.
2. Escalate appropriately on important issues that cannot be resolved.
3. Attend and contribute to monthly Reviews with Marketing and Demand Planning.
4. Plan, prepare and manage customer meetings with cross functional contacts: Buying, supply, POS, store.
Profile
1. Experience in category/sales in the beauty industry preferably.
2. Experience in management of commercial trade term agreements, annual business plans or senior commercial negotiations.
3. Strong commercial acumen with experience in P&L management, budget planning, forecast and customer management.
4. A proven strong negotiator with results driven mentality.
5. Preferred if candidate has knowledge of digital arena and how to grow e-commerce challenge.
6. High level of knowledge of Italian beauty retail environment, preferred candidate to have multi-channel experience.
7. High awareness of what it takes to win in the retail and customer environment.
8. Proficient Excel, numeracy and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
