We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Category Manager to oversee and drive the success of a specific product category within our marketplace. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, consumer behavior, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Category Strategy Development: Analyze industry and consumer trends to devise long-term development strategies for product categories.
2. Product Assortment Management: Determine the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility.
3. Pricing and Promotion: Develop pricing strategies and promotional plans to maximize consumer appeal and profitability.
4. Vendor Relations: Foster trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales, and supply chain to ensure alignment with category strategies and execution plans.
6. Performance Analysis: Analyze data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree with more than 5 years of working experience.
2. Fluent in English as working language.
3. Proven experience as a Category Manager or similar role in a marketplace or retail environment.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. Proficiency in using category management software and tools.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
