As General Manager, you will oversee every aspect of this extraordinary hotel, including its award-winning spa, Michelin-starred dining, and both indoor and outdoor pools—ensuring every guest experience is nothing short of exceptional.The RoleThis exciting Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri General Manager position will be responsible for managing the Hotel Management team, achieving targets to deliver an excellent Guest and Team Member experience while managing profitability and meeting our Owners expectations.What will I be doing?Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Manage and lead the luxury hotel operation.Continue to build the reputation and activation of the Waldorf Astoria brand in Italy.Manage ongoing profitability of the hotel, ensuring revenue, guest satisfaction, and Team Member engagement goals are met and exceeded.Lead in all key property issues including capital projects, customer service, and refurbishment.Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri and Hilton.Deliver achievable hotel budgets and set other short- and long-term strategic goals for the property.Provide exceptional leadership to hotel Team Members focusing on Hilton culture and values.Lead in all aspects of business planning.Comply with and exceed Hilton Brand Service Standards.Ensure costs are controlled.Manage and develop the Hotel Executive team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within Hilton.Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team.Respond to audits to ensure continual improvement is achieved.What are we looking for?The ideal candidate will possess excellent leadership skills with a strong focus on Owner relations, Commercial, Operations, FB, Guest experience, and Team Member engagement. Enthusiastic and passionate, you will have a proven track record as a General Manager in luxury hotels.A General Manager serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:An established luxury General Manager with Hilton experience ideally.Deep understanding of Tier 1 markets and experienced in luxury and luxury trade affiliations e.g. Virtuoso.Deliver innovative commercial opportunities with experience in increasing profitability across FD and Rooms.Meticulous attention to detail.Strong ability to collaborate and foster networks and relationships with owners, contractors, corporates, and the local community – must be highly visible as well as be the face of Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri, including Industry and Market Associations and represent the owners at public events.Extensive experience in large meeting and conference hotels.Experience in Master Plan management / Hotel opening or repositioning.Capability to assume responsibility and confidently lead hotel owners.Strong operational expertise with a focus on people and leadership—as General Manager must lead by example and maintain a visible presence across the hotel.Proven ability to inspire and retain talent, cultivate a luxury service mindset, and unite the team around a shared vision while embedding Hilton’s culture and values at every level.Deliver innovative commercial opportunities with experience in increasing profitability.Ability to show resilience, judgement, and leadership.Experience managing budgets, revenue proposals, and forecasting results in a similar sized property.Hotel Union experience.Degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent.What is it like working for Hilton?The future of hospitality is bright at Hilton: a leading global hospitality company with a diverse portfolio of world-class brands.
