The lawyer will work as a member of the SAP Italian team, and will be based in the SAP offices in Milan.The required legal advice will range across cloud, software licensing and consulting contracts, and general legal topics. You will act as a key contact for the relevant sales teams in the Market Unit, in particular providing legal advice on a wide variety of matters, including local laws and regulations, cybersecurity, intellectual property, licensing, data privacy, and license compliance matters.All legal work must be carried out within SAP’s risk tolerances, while maintaining SAP policies, and complying with applicable laws.You will be fluent in English, have a problem-solving mindset and be able to draft and negotiate complex agreements, work with sales and services professionals, pricing and revenue recognition teams, and others, in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work with a team across a wide organization is critical. This position spends a significant amount of time in customer negotiations.All resumes/CVs must be submitted in English.The successful candidate will:Report to the Vice President, Deputy Regional General Counsel in EMEA.Be part of the Italian legal team and as part of the SAP Global Legal.Negotiate, both in Italian and English, complex commercial contracts with SAP customers and partners and provide trusted legal advice to SAP’s management ensuring that all contracts are in compliance with SAP’s legal, contractual and business processes and policies.Management of legal service providers using dedicated tools, associated reporting, and efficient management of legal costs.Ensure that company business strategies are applied in recognition of legal implications and risks.Manage legal disputes, legal aspects of customer escalations, and interact with outside counsel as necessary.Contribute to the overall success of SAP’s business and be recognised as a business partner with an understanding of SAP's business objectives and cloud strategy.What you bring:A qualified lawyer with excellent working knowledge of Contract and IT Laws with 2-5 years post admission experience in an accredited law firm.Strong autonomy and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
