Senior RF Hardware Systems Engineer (Requires relocation to Abu Dhabi)
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE (Onsite)
We are seeking an experienced Senior RF Hardware Systems Engineer to join our research and development team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design, development, and integration of advanced RF communication systems. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you will help transform concepts into high-performance solutions for mission-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and engineering of advanced RF-based communication platforms.
Define system-level requirements and translate them into specifications for RF, mechanical, electrical, and software teams.
Drive projects from initial concept and prototyping to full-scale production.
Work collaboratively with board designers, firmware engineers, RF specialists, and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration.
Oversee the design and development of system accessories, including connectors, wiring, and mechanical interfaces.
Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, and vendors to source and implement both custom and off-the-shelf components.
Conduct system integration, hardware bring-up, and debugging to identify and resolve technical issues.
Perform rigorous testing and validation to ensure compliance with system requirements and military-grade standards.
Document system architecture, testing procedures, and verification reports.
Ensure designs meet stringent thermal, environmental, and durability constraints.
Required Qualifications & Expertise:
Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
Approximately 20 years of experience in hardware and RF system engineering.
Extensive experience designing military-grade payloads for ground, airborne, and vehicle-based applications.
Strong background in RF system architecture, including transmitter and receiver design.
Hands-on expertise in board-level design, RF circuit design, and mechanical integration.
Deep understanding of digital and analog systems, as well as power supply design.
Proficiency in using RF lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector signal analyzers (VSA), vector signal generators (VSG), and vector network analyzers (VNA).
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging abilities.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
