Your role
We are looking for an Embedded Systeam Engineer who willbe part of the Smart Eyewear team, in particular the New Technologies Introduction (NTI) branch. He/she will be responsible for the design of new electronics boards and modules to meet the demanding specifications of cutting:edge Smart Glasses.
Main responsibilities:
:
Design, prototyping and characterization of smart eyewear devices and other embedded systems.
:
Daily interactions with product designers to come up with innovative system integration strategies.
:
Realization of proof:of:concepts in our R and D labs. Carry out testing, debug and performance measurements with internal equipment or in collaboration with external suppliers.
:
Interface with our international network of collaborators and partners, remotely or on:site, to help ramp up production of our innovative products.
:
Test in the lab of prototypes and pre:series boards with oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies, function generators and active loads, working with FW engineers.
Main requirements:
:
Attitude to read, understand and write technical documentation (requirements, specifications, reports, analyses, etc.)
:
Experience with digital and analogue hardware design (CAD tools, simulation, design:for:manufacturing, Altium).
:
Experience with microcontrollers/system:on:chip and most common communication busses (SPI, I2C, UART, MIPI, USB).
:
Familiar with rapid prototyping and hands:on attitude (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi).
:
Experience with firmware development (e.g. nRF52, STM32) will be a plus
:
Experience with optical systems will be a plus.
:
Have the ability to work in a dynamic multicultural team where you will collaborate with members having different backgrounds and from different time zones.

Attitude to problem solving and to achieve results within challenging time and cost constraints.
