Offer Description
We are looking for a talented senior postdoctoral researcher to work on a collaboration project between the Institute of Complex Systems (ISC) of National Research Council (CNR) in Sapienza University (Rome) and ISIS Neutron and Muon Source (Oxfordshire) for the upgrade of a miniaturized Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) – Small Angle Neutron Scattering (SANS) setup recently developed at ISC CNR and now available on SANS beamlines at ISIS Neutron and Muon Source. The postdoc will work both at ISC-CNR Sapienza (Italy) in the Experimental Soft Matter group and at ISIS (UK) in the SANS group.
The optimal candidate should have a strong background in experimental techniques for investigating simple and complex fluids and specifically colloidal systems, technical skills to align optical setups, experience in dynamic light scattering, neutron or X-ray scattering and computer skills to interface the DLS correlator and acquisition programme on SANS beamlines at ISIS.
The contract will be for one year, renewable.
