JOB PURPOSE:
The Area Manager is responsible for building a strong and profitable business in the designated area through a close collaboration with the targeted customers for Pettenon brands, implementing commercial activities in the area aligned with the overall company and brands strategy in order to obtain and exceed the assigned targets (Net Sales, Gross Margin, Profitability).
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager EMEA
WORKPLACE: HQ.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Competitor and market analysis in the designated Area (other Companies presence in the market, their positioning, pricing policies and innovation level);
2. Develop the brand aligned with the current brand strategy and create a sales strategy which supports the brand growth in the area;
3. Manage the customers portfolio and evaluate, together with the Sales Manager EMEA and the Head of International Sales, customers future potential in order to optimize investments in the Area;
4. Constantly evaluate customer performance and stay up to date with potential new customers in existing markets. Ability to find new customers in not covered territories;
5. Implement new product lines and sub-brands, present promotions for existing lines as well as creating bespoke promotions to meet market specific needs;
6. Support the customers and their distribution network with education to secure excellence in product performance in the market, in collaboration with the Education department of the brand;
7. Responsible for analysing sales results and profitability by customer on a monthly basis, with accurate forecast and sales plans;
8. Implement the pricing and trade strategy of the brand in the markets;
9. Be open to customer needs and evaluate them in relation to performance and return on investment, to ensure profitability. Collaborate with other company departments to obtain best results for these market specific requests;
10. Management of the customers portfolio, orders, payments and the shipping process;
11. Attend the main exhibitions in the hair & skin care industry.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Experience of at least 7/10 years in the same role, preferably in the Beauty/Cosmetic Industry;
2. Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel;
3. SAP knowledge would be a plus;
4. Professional Proficiency in English;
5. Excellent Knowledge of Spanish, German or French as a plus;
6. Great presentation skills;
7. Outstanding negotiation skills;
8. Agile and proactive;
9. Ability to work in a team.
