Strategic Key Accounts Director
Overview of the Role:
The Strategic Account Leader (SAL) is responsible for delivering growth for Thermo Fisher Scientific's most important customers in the Pharma Services Group (PSG). You will develop deep client relationships and use insights gained to lead group-level commercial processes, driving strategic growth and profitability.
Main Responsibilities:
* Account Growth Plans: Develop and implement account growth plans for assigned PSG accounts.
* Account Management Teams: Lead successful account management teams for PSG and support corporate-level teams to generate and progress opportunities to closure.
* Governance Program: Lead a robust governance program for client portfolios across multiple service lines and global sites.
* Relationship Health: Monitor relationship health and operational performance using key performance indicators.
* Crisis Management: Proactively prevent and handle above-site issues by cascading communications and engaging with internal and client executives as needed.
* Value Delivery: Deliver maximum value through improvement initiatives and ensure contract compliance.
Requirements:
* Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a scientific field such as chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering; MBA highly preferred.
* Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in commercial, program management, or relationship management roles.
* Skills: Strong analytical skills, understanding of financial models, and ability to balance factors such as cash flow, revenue recognition, and return on investment in complex deal structures.
* Negotiation and Communication: Strong negotiation and communication skills, with experience working with executives, including C-suite.
