As the Engineering Manager for the Lead Creation team, you’ll be essential to our GTM Optimisation domain. This role is pivotal in driving our goal to 10x lead generation and double our new business year on year. You will develop proprietary software tools to identify relevant companies and data points online, ensuring Mollie has the most comprehensive database of ideal customer profile leads. These leads will be enriched with relevant data points and prioritized using machine learning scoring. We are looking for a Java hands-on engineering manager to shape the technical roadmap and delivery of our next-generation lead generation platform. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across business, product, marketing, and data to evolve the roadmap and technical strategy. This is a critical and visible role that has a direct impact on the company's revenue. What you'll be doing Build and Guide a Technical Team: Develop and lead a world-class technical team. As a hands-on manager, you will work with large-scale distributed systems and guide teams through technical challenges, such as structuring data in searchable databases. Balance Hands-On Work and Big Picture Thinking: Enjoy being hands-on (Java) while also capable of strategic oversight. Nurture and grow high-performing teams to achieve results at scale and pace. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with business, product, marketing, and data stakeholders to understand user and stakeholder needs, and to drive the technical roadmap and strategy. Deliver Results: Set technical roadmaps and goals, delegate tasks intelligently, mentor engineers, provide transparent feedback, and help team members grow in their careers. Drive Engineering Excellence: Ensure significant hands-on engineering work, building scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant systems and full stack products. Lead by example in guiding engineering excellence. What you have: Great Management Skills: Ability to set roadmaps and goals for the team and individual members, mentor engineers, and deliver frequent and transparent feedback. Management Experience: Preferably 2 years of managing multidisciplinary teams, with a proven ability to recruit, retain, and grow top engineering talent. Engineering Excellence: Significant hands-on experience in various contexts, building scalable, robust, and fault-tolerant systems and full-stack products. Bias Towards Action: Balance speed and quality, make quick decisions and learn from mistakes. Excellent Teaching Skills: Mentor, teach, and review engineers to help them make sound architectural decisions, improve their skills, and step out of their comfort zones.
