Job Description:
Category Manager Job Purpose
The Category Manager reports directly to the Head of Indirect Procurement, coordinating procurement processes for covered expense categories.
Responsibilities:
* Manage procurement requests and issue orders to vendors
* Analyze and monitor expenditure KPIs for covered categories
* Negotiate with strategic vendors in agreement with the Head of Indirect Procurement
* Supervise vendor scouting and selection with Vendor Manager, Cost Governance, and Procurement Excellence
* Lead negotiation activities (tender specifications, bid evaluation, etc.)
* Draft contracts with vendors in agreement with the Head of Indirect Procurement and Legal Department
* SUPPORT PROCUREMENT PLANNING AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES
Knowledge and Skills:
* Degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Management (+7 years experience)
* Procurement knowledge, especially in the fashion industry
* Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills
* Procurement and negotiation techniques expertise
* Legal contract conclusion notions
* Strategic planning and operational skills
* Problem-solving abilities with creative ideas
* Analytical skills and knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and accounting standards
* ERP, eProcurement platforms, MS Office, and other IT tools expertise
* Proactivity, curiosity, and focus on identifying new business proposals
