The Hoxton is getting ready to open its doors in Florence, capital of Italy’s Tuscany region and home to some of the world’s most famous masterpieces of Renaissance art, architecture and monuments. This eye-candy city is packed with culture and is the birthplace of gelato – we did not need any persuading to make it our second home in the country.
The Hoxton in Florence will feature 161 beautiful bedrooms of varying sizes, a large ground floor restaurant, bar, lobby, rooftop and courtyard. There is also a basement meeting and events space.

The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces.
Job Description
What you’ll do…
* Provide a genuinely welcoming and memorable experience for our guests, from a Hox welcome, to handling any questions and helping out with requests.
* Deal with the coming and going of guests, making sure all bills are correct and contain no surprises.
* Work with all our teams to make sure we're always busy and help our restaurant team with any individual and group bookings.
* Answer phones, sort out requests, give recommendations - you're the one-stop-shop for our guests to turn to.
* Take reservations over the phone, handle cash and card payments and help out the team on the floor.
* Master the use of the online reservation system and be sure to add all necessary information to reservations.
* Anticipate needs and proactively provide solutions so that our guests’ expectations are not only met but exceeded.
