As Account Manager of Service Sales & Business Support, you are an ambassador of the Clinical Business Unit and will bring to the market Waters’ products and services. In this role, you will interface with end users, key decision makers, purchasing agents, department leaders, and scientists. Effective customer relationship skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to effectively negotiate are crucial to succeeding in this role. A key competency will be the ability to collaborate with your colleagues across the entire Clinical Business Unit.
Responsibilities
* Meeting the sales targets relating to the Clinical Business Unit plan for your designated role.
* Develop a good understanding of the Product Portfolio and Solutions.
* Using related systems, e.g., SalesForce, Quotation system, to report and monitor a set of KPI’s that are used within the Clinical Business Unit.
* Increase the awareness of the 48hr Contracts business in line with the market.
* Planning and executing consistently high standard tender responses in collaboration with the account managers, including the preparation of tender documents and product solution documents for our customers.
* Follow-up on validity of legal documents, the tender publications and verification, and maintain the customer database, ensuring all relevant information is recorded in our business system.
Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelor/Master Degree in Science or Business
Experience:
* Being exposed to RFI, RFP, RFQ’s, and service contract renewals.
* A background in chromatography and mass spectrometry is a plus.
* An understanding of the Clinical IVD Tender processes and procedures is desired.

* Ability to understand and communicate technical & commercial values.
* Good interpersonal skills with a positive mindset and a high level of self-motivation to achieve high standards.
* Good priority setting and organizational skills.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional written, verbal, and organizational skills including knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PPT). Experience of using SalesForce based platform is a plus.
* Fluent in Italian and English Language Skills.
Travel:
* This is an office-based position that will require occasional travel to meetings and training.
* A valid passport will be required, as well as a driving license.
* A disclosure of any criminal convictions may be required as some of our customers work in sensitive and confidential government areas.
